The Unity People’s Convention 2010 in San Diego was filled with inspiring speakers, great learning and wonderful music. You can order CDs of individual sessions for your own audio library. On June 27th fourteen people completed the training for lay chaplains conducted by Rev Sky St John and Mindy Tucker. The energy created over the weekend of the course was an enriching experience as we learnt and prayed together. All who attended learnt techniques of praying with others using affirmative forms of prayer. Unity of Melbourne now has a team of enthusiastic people able to pray with others at our centre, in hospitals and in homes. The Chaplaincy will be a continuing support for the minister. |
Gloria donates and launches Peace Pole
May 16 saw the innuguration celebration of our newly acquired Peace Pole donated by our much-loved Gloria Grace-Wallace. Gloria organised and ran a beautiful event and we were treated to several magnificent musical performances.
It was intended that we'd install the Peace Pole in the grounds at the front of the church but there seems to be great interest in keeping it inside the church. We'll have to wait and see. |
Peter J Daniels workshops
Renowned international speaker and hugely successful businessman, Peter J Daniels recently presented three workshops in our beautiful church.

- How to go into business and win.
- Thursday lunchtime 22 April
- What do you do when your dreams start to fade.
- Thursday evening 22 April
- How to reach your life goals from a biblical perspective and hit it on target.
Peter had us spellbound with his to-the-point style and his amazing wealth of experience and stories - no one attending could possibly have come away unmoved and all left motivated anew. He is a walking demonstration of faith in action. I, for one, have never experienced anyone with such clarity and certainty.

Wednesday December 2 - New Thought Conference as a preliminary to the 'Parliament of the World's Religions' 9am-5.30pm. www.agnt.org/powr/registration.htm
Friday December 4 - Communities Night 7.30pm at Unity of Melbourne, 4 Renown St, Burwood. Official 'Parliament of the World's Religions' event. There was a short Unity style service followed by a lovely Indian dinner. Vistors included many of the Unity members from around the world and other guests. Jeremy Donovan, Indigenous presenter, also shared about his life and the work he is now doing in the world. |
